Medical Volunteer Opportunities in Atlanta

CE credit is available for clinic physician volunteers

Volunteer medical professionals are the heart and soul of Physicians’ Care Clinic. Over 200 volunteers – including physicians, nurses, pharmacist, and lay people – dedicate thousands of hours every year to provide patient care at the PCC.

The clinic is a wonderful way to give back to the community and meet like-minded medical professionals who work in a variety of areas and specialties.  Continuing education (CE) credit is available for physician volunteers.

Whether you work in a medical field, or you are a DeKalb neighbor who wants to help others and benefit the community, there are many ways to volunteer at the PCC and many roles to fill:

  • Physicians
  • Physician Assistants
  • Advanced Practice Nurses
  • Nurses
  • Pharmacists
  • Receptionists
  • Students: medical, pharmacy, nursing
  • Office support staff
  • Translation services
  • Fund raisers and event planners

Simply complete the volunteer application below and return it to the PCC.  We will contact you to answer your questions and review the clinic schedule.  Thank you!

CE Credit Available for Physician Volunteers in Atlanta

Physicians with active licenses can now earn 10 of the 40 continuing education hours required every two years by working at a charity clinic.  Under a rule change by the Georgia Composite State Board of Medical Examiners, the board will waive one CE hour for every four hours worked at a clinic, up to a total of 10 hours.

This is a great way to help your neighbors, help the clinic, and earn CE credits.
